Objectives

With our project "Green ACT" we want young students to make remarkable records of success in an ideal world to reduce global warming with deceleration of unnecessary mass production, mass consumption and mass disposal by learning and applying the principles of reducing, reusing, recycling, upcycling and downcycling. This project's main aim is to provide the students with an insight into the term "Our Green and Sustainable World" covering it in all aspects: social, economic and environmental.

Activities

There will be 2TPMs,3 LTTAs,4 online meetings,2 online events and local meetings during the 2 years of the project plan -global Warming Workshops on reducing, reusing, recycling,upcycling and surveys -a Global Warming program -creating a Miniature City and Sustainable School -TEDX talks -creating a short film or a cartoon -creating Zero waste classrooms -making products from recycled materials -eco-camps with the participation of disadvantaged students -traditional cooking day -herbal hand cream

Impact

By the implementation of Environmental Consciousness into education; -the young will require more than the ability to memorize facts and procedures but to think deeply, challenge accepted knowledge. -they will have the chance to get into Global socio-ecological problems, call for multidisciplinary solutions as decisionmakers and future leaders of the world. -they will contribute to the EU’s strategies to mitigate and adapt to the effects of climate change at a local, national and global level.
