▶Objectives
In EMIC-STEAM students elaborate creative projects on social-ecological challenges in Mobile Interdisciplinary Maker Boxes (MMB) and discuss their ideas in international cooperations. Thus, they develop Futures Literacy as well as intercultural and foreign language competence. Accordingly, pre- and in-service teachers are trained to use MMB projects as transformative learning environments. With the extension of STEM to STEAM, young women’s interest and participation is particularly fostered.

Based on these preparations making offers for students (3) and short- and long-term pre- and in-service teacher training formats (4+5) will be developed, conducted, monitored (6), and results disseminated (7) according to an educational design-based research approach.
