▶Objectives
The aim of the international cooperation partnership is to professionalise civic education with refugees or with regard to forced migration in Europe from a power-critical perspective. This includes, on the one hand, the further development of educational work with refugees and, on the other hand, the reflection of professionals' own practice and professional attitude. It also includes involving refugees as experts for their experiences, needs and perceptions.
▶Activities
Four transnational meetings of the project consortium, three international trainings for youth work professionals, four local groups with young refugees in the participating countries, a Get-Together Event with youth work professionals and young refugees from the local groups, local exchange meetings for the associated partners, the creation of a website and a reflection brochure as well as a final conference. The project is also supported by scientific and power-critical monitoring.
▶Impact
Professionals/Youth Workers have expanded their skills in dealing with diversity, explored the impact of European refugee policy on youth work in the participating partner countries, learned about cultural-artistic methods and understood how they can be used for civic education with refugees or with regard to forced migration and developed ways of strengthening the political participation of young refugees. Results will be published in a reflection brochure (a.o.).
