▶Objectives
The project aims to strengthen the organisational capacities of youth stakeholders to apply trauma-responsive and conflict-sensitive practices in peace education when working with and within conflict-affected communities and trauma-affected young people in Europe. A specific focus is to enhance the response of the youth field to the war in Ukraine, especially in view of the capacity of youth work to foster the inclusion of trauma-affected young Ukrainian IDPs and refugees.
▶Activities
The project will implement the following key activities: ** Developing and rolling out an educational pack and competence development programme on trauma-responsive and conflict-sensitive non-formal peace education for youth peace practitioners ** Creating a web platform for non-formal peace education serving as a learning and dialogue space for youth peace practitioners ** Facilitating networking and partnership-building events for shared learning and dialogue among youth stakeholders.
▶Impact
The project will create the following key results: - A resource pack and web platform on trauma-responsive and conflict-sensitive non-formal peace education are published - Youth peace practitioners developed their competencies in trauma-responsive and conflict-sensitive non-formal peace education and integrated new practices into their work - Youth practitioners and public stakeholders engaged in dialogue on practices for trauma-responsive and conflict-sensitive non-formal peace education.
