Objectives

Through Psicoballet pilot groups we want to contribute to the improvement of the emotional and physical health of older people with cognitive impairment. Specialized training for educators will be carried out and a toolbox will be published with the aim of disseminating good practices in education for seniors. The dissemination will be carried out through the web, social networks and a documentary film with the aim of raising awareness about the elderly with neurodegenerative diseases.

Activities

We want to spread the Psychoballet methodology in Europe as a training activity for older people that promotes intergenerational encounters and the improvement of physical and emotional health. To do this, we will organize a training course for educators from three European entities that will later launch Psychoballet pilot groups. The experience will be replicable through the publication of a video toolbox, a documentary, articles and social media posts.

Impact

The Allegro project will be the first European experience of training seniors with neurodegenerative diseases through Psychoballet. We will encourage educators meetings and a training course to later contribute to the physical and emotional well-being and sociocultural participation of older people. All training material and applied good practices will be available for replication in digital format. Finally, we will be able to raise awareness with artistic and audiovisual creations.
