Adult teachers and social educators need to update their competencies in approaching Ukrainian refugees to learning and occupational activities aimed at fostering their social integration in Europe and, ultimately, at overstepping the trauma, pain and suffering recently occurred in their life. The project will revise and update the competences of adult educators in acquiring effective methodologies and teaching skills targeted to the educational and psychological needs of Ukrainian refugees.

The activities consist of: - designing a Training Course to improve the educational skills of adult teachers and social carers of Ukrainian refugees; - the first pilot testing of the PUENTE Training Course, involving 60 adult educators from 5 Countries; - drafting a Handbook setting harmonized standards to promote the “European way of life” (EU culture and diversity) among war refugees; - publishing EU guidelines to supervise the learning progress and social reinsertion of Ukrainian refugees.

The project will integrate and update an effective educational approach for the benefit of Ukrainian war refugees. Recovering their full human value through a tailored stimulation of educational processes and outcomes, the project will definitely contribute to overstep and win the negative traits of suffering and pain experienced after the Russian invasion. The project will also complement important EU policies such as the 2022 EU Care Strategy and the forthcoming EU mental health Strategy.
