โ–ถObjectives

Managers who can effectively navigate and manage interpersonal conflict among employees will have a positive impact on their organizations. However, many R&D managers are not fully prepared to handle interpersonal conflict among their staff members. This is especially true in an academic environment. Many academics and researchers avoid controversial subjects in the workplace and are ill-prepared for resolving conflict, this even more amplified in culturally diverse contexts.

โ–ถActivities

- Co-design the SOLSTICE Curriculum, providing a consistent, and epistemologically grounded training approach. - Develop and validate the learning content, support materials and assessment method of the SOLSTICE online Training. - Develop and validate the practices (methods, tools, techniques, exercises and activities), which support the target group. - Achieve transfer, take-up and impact of SOLSTICE across a wide constituency of target groups, through focussed awareness raising and engagement.

โ–ถImpact

SOLSTICE equips academics and researchers in Higher Education institutions (HEIs), in particular those leading or coordinating culturally diverse teams, with the self-efficacy, competencies and skills needed to understand the principles of SFA and rapidly leverage these to prevent, manage and/or resolve conflict, mitigating their impact on the teams and their performance.
