Objectives

The PATH project aims at strengthening the Career Guidance Services of the 6 participating HEIs through the development of an ethical AI powered tool. To achieve this, the project aims to: (1) develop the TRL 2 PATH prototype; (2) establish sustainable networking and collaboration links with key stakeholders of the career guidance European ecosystem, such as Cedefop and the PES Knowledge Centre and (3) boost the research capabilities of the Consortium in AI expert systems for career guidance.

Activities

The PATH project will implement the following core activities: (1) Analysis of the state-of-the-art of IA software solutions for career guidance and the new AI European Regulatory Framework (AI Act); (2) Definition of functional and non-functional requirements of PATH, along with ethical requirements; (3) Validation of the Catalogue of Requirements; (4) Development of the PATH TRL 2 software prototype and (5) Drafting an Action plan to further development of the tool of TRL 6/7.

Impact

The main outcome of the PATH project will be the change of mentality and the development of a critical perspective regarding the use of Artificial Intelligence in the Career Guidance Services of the participating HEIs with a direct impact on the strategy and action plan of the Career Development Programme of Ulysseus, by initiating the process of developing a sustainable tool that meets the most demanding ethical requirements and has an adequate balance in human/machine interaction.
