▶Objectives
The project intends to bridge the gaps between mental health and citizen protection and security fields, by training security professionals (CPSP) on adequate prevention and intervention in situations involving people with mental health problems to ensure respect and dignity. It also intends to strengthen CPSP’s mental health as a key factor to enhance their development and effectively fulfill their service duties, and reinforce VET trainers capacity to meet CPSP training needs and preferences.
▶Activities
Develop a blended training program for CPSP, formulated through a research process with co-creation workshops (90 participants) and experts consultations (36). Implement the e-learning contens and platform for CPSP, validation through online pilot experience with end-users (120). Implement the handbook and guidelines for trainers, validation through a transnational capacity building activity for trainers (13) and local pilot experiences with end-users (88). Training program on mental health and intervention in crisis with people with mental health problems (WP2): E-learning Platform (WP3) & Handbook and guidelines for trainers (WP4). Strategies and recommendations for awareness and advocacy for integration of mental health within Citizen's Security field (WP5). Impact: improved intervention in mental health crises, decreased stigmatizing attitudes, CPSP improved mental health, improved trainers capacity, more coordinated responses from key actors.
