Objectives

The WILDSCAPE EU project motivation is rooted in the European Union's commitment to preserve biodiversity and promote sustainable tourism practices throughout Europe The project aims to promote sustainable tourism practices, preserve biodiversity, and empower youth in rural areas, fostering environmental conservation and socio-economic development, establishing a set of tools and mechanisms that may allow future generations to preserve and respect the nature while fostering political debate

Activities

The project will implement a range of activities, including conducting training workshops, facilitating collaborative sessions for developing sustainable tourism packages, organizing policy dialogues with stakeholders, and creating comprehensive online learning resources. Through these activities, we aim to foster knowledge exchange, capacity building, and the promotion of sustainable practices in the tourism sector.

Impact

R1: Transnational Report on biodiversity and ecotourism outlining the biodiversity status and ecotourism potential in each participating country. R2: Development of sustainable tourism standards through focus groups and territorial data collection R3: Creation of an ecotourism platform: an interactive online platform will be developed, serving as a hub for ecotourism resources, tools, and training materials R4: Policy recommendations and tourism packages R5: Transversal plans
