Objectives

The project aimed to: - Map and compare adult education pathways in sports physiotherapy across Nordic countries. - Improve understanding of national and cross-border networking structures for continued education. - Explore the role of mentoring in the professional development of early- and late-career physiotherapists. - Strengthen cooperation between national associations and improve their capacity to support their members. These objectives supported the Erasmus+ priorities of inclusion, quality adult education, and creation of flexible, learner-centred upskilling pathways.

Activities

All planned activities were completed as proposed: - A Kick-off meeting (online, September 2024) initiated coordination. - Monthly PMG meetings ensured project alignment and efficient communication. - Three transnational workshops were conducted: - Workshop 1 (Education Pathways): Stockholm, Sweden, November 2024 - Workshop 2 (Networking): Copenhagen, Denmark, January 2025 - Workshop 3 (Mentoring): Oslo, Norway, April 2025 - A member-wide questionnaire gathered data from 225 physiotherapists across four countries. - A Final Seminar was held in Helsinki in June 2025 (also published online). - Dissemination was active throughout via webpages, blogs, and social media. - Additional implementation was a presentation on shared knowledge on the treatment of spinal bone injuries at an International sports Physiotherapy congress in Helsinki 6-7th June 2025

Impact

Key outputs include: - A comprehensive final seminar presentation and recording shared publicly. - Three workshop reports summarising key findings and practices in education, networking, and mentoring. - Survey data visualised and analysed (demographics, education, certification, engagement). - A public-facing summary report hosted on SUFT’s website. - Improved visibility and alignment of educational opportunities among all partner associations. The results have supported reflection and innovation in how adult education is planned, delivered, and assessed in sports physiotherapy across the Nordic regio
