Objectives

The main objective is to identify and recognize international social work’s role and core competences in crisis management operations and develop an inclusive and participatory curriculum and e-learning for higher education. The aim is to increase career and training opportunities in crisis management for social workers and other professionals for Europe to be better equipped to train new professionals in international social work and face future crisis.

Activities

1. Mapping and analyzing on the operational context of crisis management and the role and competences of social work 2. Map experiences of target groups in focus group interviews 3. Dialogical multiprofessional workshops to identify best practises, core competences and promote learning 4. Implement a pilot course (MOOC) on international social work in crisis management 5. Produce training materials, videos and articles 6. Dissemination activities through seminars, webinars and social media.

Impact

New training and career opportunities in international social work and crisis management Better understanding of core competences, best practises and further education needs in social work and crisis management to help Europe be better equipped for future crisis situations. Network of HE organisations, aid organisations and target group organisations specialized in crisis management and social work
