▶Objectives
Based on the principle that adult learners favour learning materials that relate to their experiences, 10Fold III aims to enrich the didactic practices of trainers with authentic texts on a video format, and addressing the discrimination faced by adult learners with migration history. It focuses on promoting inclusion and diversity in AE by strengthening trainers’ professional development to use digital and creative tools to enhance learners' language skills, resilience and social participation.
▶Activities
10fold III builds on a successful project that developed a ComicZine and TextBook out of life stories of 10 women with a migration history. Based on these results, 8 learning videos will be created and will resonate with the adult learners’ experiences. A didactical set for AE trainers will guide the video use and, after a workshop to share practices, will be piloted with 20 learners. Multiplier events and various dissemination activities will make the results accessible to adult trainers.
▶Impact
The core project results, available in English, French and German, consist of 8 learning videos and didactic tools for AE trainers, including a guidebook describing 8 activities to be implemented with adult learners, and a video with trainers and learners testimonies. These results directly aim at enhancing the trainers’ skills and boosting the learners’ skills, inclusion and participation. An introduction video on 10fold III will target the general public to raise awareness among the society.
