โ–ถObjectives

In our project Maths will be studied through historical structures since they often involve intricate mathematical concepts and principles linked with history & science. Studying historical structures in the context of learning mathematics will: - help students develop a better understanding of geometry and spatial reasoning, as they will explore how mathematical concepts are applied in three-dimensional space - help students apply mathematical concepts to understand the design and construction

โ–ถActivities

We are going to implement in school activities, virtual acvitities and transnational activities to reach the aims of the project. Four transnational activities have been planned to teach various Maths topics besides the history and cultural background of the venues of the activities: - Modelling a national iconic piece of art based on the Cathedral of Amiens - Fractals in a tangible cultural heritage item - Mathematical figures in nation heritage - Teacher empowerment workshop

โ–ถImpact

The concrete results of the project will be: - 3D models of the structures we have studied (either by 3D printers or handicraft works), - A virtual museum of all models, - Learning scenarios on three subthemes of the project, - Students' presentations on topics related to each theme, - Collaborative e books on architecture & art works, intangible or tangible cultural heritage items around Europe and the Maths behind, - STEM student clubs whose yearly plan will be enriched with the scenarios.
