▶Objectives
The project aims to enhance the pedagogical expertise of distance language teaching educators, advance their digital skills, and improve the second language proficiency of migrants. The focus is on a holistic approach to educator development, ensuring active inclusion and participation of educators and learners in the evolving digital landscape, and fostering the development, inclusion, and integration of migrants through innovative and interactive digital methods.
▶Activities
The project will conduct comprehensive secondary and primary research, create a report and toolkit for distance L2 teaching, and provide training for migrant educators. It will also conduct pilot courses for migrants using the toolkit’s strategies. The project will also have a robust communication strategy, including a dedicated website, social media presence, and organizing and participation in various physical and hybrid conference events.
▶Impact
The project expects to create a toolkit and report accessed by 500+ educators, improve the capacity of 205 educators through training, and benefit 400 migrants through pilot courses. In the long term, migrants of all ages across the EU will benefit from the project. The developed toolkit and enhanced skills of migrant educators from the training and the recommendations will contribute to DL2T advancement. Stakeholders can use the recommendations to improve language teaching infrastructure.
