Enigmathico advocates that bridging literacy and numeracy skills through a holistic approach can help reduce disparities in the learning of maths amongst pupils aged 8-12. This project promotes a learning environment defined by non-formal pedagogy in which the pupils’ active participation is encouraged to develop their psychosocial skills. Enigmathico seeks to desacralise the teaching of maths by anchoring it into concrete situations, so that it develops pupils’ meaning-making abilities.
