โ–ถObjectives

The project contributes to vocational training regarding the social impacts of Low Emissions Zones (LEZ) in European cities. Professionals working in public authority, implementing LEZ or other mobility policies, and social workers, have difficulties to adapt their support to the contextual change induced by car-regulation policies. The project answers the need for professionals working with people affected by the LEZ to better comprehend the relation between mobility and the just transition.

โ–ถActivities

The project will implement a quantitative study on the level of knowledge, skills and attitude of professionals working with people affected by the LEZ. It will experiment innovative working methods in various cities (Barcelona, Brussels, Lyon, Madrid) with a cohort of social workers and professionals in mobility services of public authorities. Following this experience, the project will create vocational training modules for professionals and disseminate the results of the project broadly.

โ–ถImpact

The project will result in a needs assessment synthesis based on the quantitative study on the level of knowledge, skills, and attitudes of professionals towards the social impacts of LEZ. It will also provide best practices on innovative workings methods, and vocational training modules (including a train-for-trainers guide) targeting professionals in contact with vulnerable groups affected by LEZ. The project is expected to disseminate knowledge and best practices on the just transition.
