βΆObjectives
While existing initiatives often raise awareness about the underrepresentation of women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields, they frequently struggle to translate this awareness into tangible action. WISE aims to bridge this gap by equipping "awareness-raised" participants with the necessary tools and infrastructure to turn their knowledge into concrete actions that promote gender equality in STEM education and careers.
βΆActivities
The project focuses on three key activities: * Developing resources supporting the transformation of the awareness of the gender issue into transformative action * Piloting the resources to be tested and refined in real-world settings, from educational institutions to associations, enterprises, etc.. * Evaluating impact: Through data collection and analysis, the project will assess the effectiveness of the resources and the implemented strategies.
βΆImpact
While aiming for long-term increases in female STEM participation, WISE's primary outcome within the project timeline is to establish a clear path from awareness to action. WISE will showcase a successful model for creating conditions conducive to empowering girls and women pursuing STEM education and careers. This established model can serve as a catalyst for further change, inspiring both individuals and organisations to replicate and expand upon its success beyond the project's duration.
