▶Objectives
The ideal goal of the project is empowerment of and building the capacity for self- institutionalisation of Central-East European grass-roots Roma communities by strengthening their identity. By establishing a network of organisations and initiatives by involving stakeholders in cooperation with other anti-segregation, minority culture development actions this proposal intends to integrate several ongoing inclusion-focused projects.
▶Activities
We employ a grassroots capacity building methodology to empower young Roma, enhancing social, civic competences, knowledge of Roma history and culture. Unique life stories showcase cultural diversity, transcending formal education. Networking activities will help to liaise with similar initiatives, organisations for upscaling. Artistic workshops will strengthen community belonging, support self-representation, and foster creative expression, developing community art.
