CESDA uses creative education to provide opportunities for self-expression and imagination in primary schools serving disadvantaged children in Ireland and Italy. The participating children will benefit, and CESDA will build on the outcomes and increase understanding and use of creative education to focus on inclusion and diversity. The Good Practice Guide will allow us to share knowledge and tools with marginalized communities, practitioners and to build a base to start new projects.

To achieve our objectives, we will deliver 18 school workshops in Dublin and in Milan, which will result in outputs including a podcast and storybook. In parallel we will implement a series of skill share activities. There will be a review of the workshops, before using the outcomes and learnings to develop and disseminate a Good Practice Guide and to plan the follow up future project plans, designing creative education initiatives that draw on the project results which can be widely implemented

The experience will help the students to build their literacy and communications skills, and their confidence, imagination and well-being as they see their words communicated across the continent into each other’s classrooms. The sharing will build capacity in both organisations. The Good Practice Guide will impact on practice widely - nationally in Ireland and Italy, and across Europe. The project will enable our organisations to deliver bigger creative education projects in the future.
