Objectives

1. To increase the awareness of sustainable food choices within the VET sector by empowering teachers and students 2. Develop links between the VET sector and their local food producers and products. 3. Embracing the concept of “farm to fork” production by developing sustainable food college gardens 4. Promoting inclusion and diversity in VET through life skill development and sustainable food education 5. Establishing strong partnerships between European education partners through Erasmus

Activities

1. Visit partner regions, link with local food producers and learn about local food products 2. Develop sustainable food gardens in each partner college 3. Develop curricular resources on sustainable food education to share between partners 4. Promote life skills development for socio-economic disadvantage students in the VET sector through knowledge of sustainable food choices 5. Develop partnership between 3 European education partners through Erasmus to share knowledge and best parctice

Impact

Expected results: 1. Increased knowledge of local food production and food products in the partner regions 2. Develop sustainable food gardens in each partner college, to grow foods which will be used to create meals using locally produced foods 3. Each partner will develop curricular resources to be shared between the partners and students on best practice in sustainable food choices 4. Established a strong working relationship between the 3 EU partner education colleges through Erasmus
