YouthTRAILS wants to support sustainable tourism of young people by promoting ecotourism education among youth organisations in remote areas. It aims to 1. encourage the fight against climate change by capacity building youth workers in sustainable education for ecotourism 2. favour the adoption of a quality framework to recognise youth-friendly ecotourism practices 3. experiment innovative participatory methods to involve young people in the promotion of sustainable tourism
▶Activities
YouthTrails develops different activities like researching, local workshops, visibility events, youth seminars to promote youth active participation in rural areas to develop/engage in ecotourism practice functional to meaningful DiscoverEU activites and E+ youth exchanges. These activities engage youth and youth workers to interact with ecotourism venues to develop a shared ecotourism youth-friendly network that can generate opportunities in sustainable travel, training and future employment.
