▶Objectives
Through the implementation of EMIMSEB, we wanted to: -Analyse and compare the state of art, mainly from a legal point of view, of social entrepreneurship in the partner countries, in order to share it with the general public; -Identifying, targeting and actively involving adults interested in the third sector and/or with impactful ideas and supporting them in entering the entrepreneurial world through innovative approaches and within their local communities; -Facilitate an international network of aspiring/new social entrepreneurs in the Euro-Mediterranean area to enhance cooperation in diverse fields of high-impact sectors and to improve their learning path through innovative tools for further developing their ideas jointly or individually; -Sharing, dissemination and promoting openly the results of the project to a broader public in order to a)promote active citizenship and participation of adults at local, and European level and b) improve and bring closer aspiring social entrepreneurs and regular citizens to the EU values and precise funding opportunities for supporting them in the realization of their ideas.
▶Activities
During the EMIMSEB project, the following activities were implemented: -Coordination, monitoring and evaluation of the entire project, following a robust project management methodology. -Training provided by ARRABAL on how to engage beneficiaries with vulnerabilities in the activities of each organization. -SEOC: the largest Social Entrepreneurship event in Italy. Two participants from each organization participated. This activity also included a meeting to discuss the next steps of the project, specifically A3 and A4. -Development of a report on social entrepreneurship translated in each partner language. -4-day Bootcamp on social entrepreneurship in February 2025, which included 40 participants coming from each partner country. -An analytical report on the project evaluation, specifically of the Bootcamp, translated, presented and shared at the final event in June 2025 with the participation of partner organizations in Catania during the Make in South. -A communication strategy aimed at promoting project’s results through newsletters, posts on Linkedin, Facebook and Instagram, videos, articles published on local newspapers about entrepreneurship and innovation of each country.
▶Impact
The EMIMSEB project led to the production, translation and dissemination of a report on social entrepreneurship, A3 led by JA Malta, which is a useful and informative guide on the legal nature, success stories in each partner country. Another crucial outcome was the achievement of OVI 10, which refers to the participation of 40 European beneficiaries in the Social Enterprise Bootcamp and the production of a video documenting the 4 days spent together at Isola Catania. Other significant results included the training conducted by ARRABAL, which equipped partner organizations with methods and useful suggestions on how to engage vulnerable groups in the Bootcamp and, importantly, in all their activities, extending the goal to the daily work of the partners and their networks. Additionally, communication on social media and the final report presented in front of an active and interested audience in the third sector allowed for a participatory analysis of the impact of training activities for adults on social entrepreneurship. We also managed to make field visits of different local social enterprises/initiatives in Catania as success stories to be replicated in each partner country.
