▶Objectives
The main objective of the project was to make mathematics more engaging, accessible, and meaningful for students. We aimed to demonstrate that mathematics is not only a school subject, but also an integral part of culture, history, technology, and everyday life. By implementing the project, we aimed to increase students’ motivation and confidence, reduce anxiety about learning mathematics, and promote innovative teaching methods for teachers. Another important objective was to encourage international cooperation and cultural exchange, helping students and teachers to develop teamwork, communication skills, and a stronger sense of European identity.
▶Activities
We implemented a series of international mobilities and year-long school activities that combined mathematics with games, culture, history, and technology. In Italy, Greece, Croatia, and Turkey, students and teachers took part in workshops, seminars, cultural visits, and collaborative projects that linked mathematical concepts to traditional games, the Golden Ratio, and modern technology. Participants co-created strategic board games and later transformed them into digital applications. Alongside the mobilities, online activities through eTwinning and Twinspace ensured continuous collaboration, resource sharing, and dissemination of knowledge. All activities were documented and compiled into a digital eBook, which included lesson plans, worksheets, and teaching resources to support sustainability.
