▶Objectives
WATERWISE aims at: •Strengthening Higher Education Capacity in Europe on environmental issues (SO1) •Promoting awareness and understanding of the challenges and opportunities related to the green transition, environment, and climate change (SO2), •Strengthening Collaboration and Synergies in the context of the European Green Transition (SO3): promoting collaboration between different sectors, including VET, academic education, the business community, civil society, and the institutions.
▶Activities
WATERWISE activities include: -Research on Water Strategy and Policy: Extensive research on national water strategies and policies will be conducted in order to formulate a positive and virtuous water strategy. -Development of a MOOC: a higher education programme on water management with the issuance of "blue credentials" for professionals and future managers in the sector. -Awareness Campaign: A comprehensive awareness campaign will be conducted, including the production of podcasts.
▶Impact
WATERWISE results are: •Increased awareness of the importance of water sustainability in Europe through research and hydrostrategy •Development of professional expertise and improved higher education capacity in Europe through the provision of a modular programme on water management •Creation of an international network of experts in water management •Supporting stakeholders involved in ERDF projects, contributing to the realization of regional development and environmental sustainability goals
