The goal is to contribute to building a new path for teaching and learning, that combines proximity to the environment (biophilia) with outdoor education experiences.Service learning serves as a methodology to keep this connection with the environment active and to conduct innovative learning experiences beyond the classroom.And the integration of new technologies,infused with humanism/active citizenship, aims to promote inclusion,equal opportunities and support the ecological/digital transition
▶Activities
The consortium will participate in 3 online training events and 4 transnational teacher training events. These events aim to collect data from pre-assessments regarding the prerequisites possessed by teachers, focusing on learning environments and proposed methodologies. Additionally, they will introduce experimentation activities with students. In SKYSS, a dedicated Metaverse environment on Minecraft Edu has also been created, allowing students to engage in scientific laboratory activities.
▶Impact
The knowledge acquired by teachers will be put into practice with students and experimented with. It will be applied in teaching STEM subjects and civic education across schools of all levels. Analyzing student outputs in a broader ex-post evaluation will allow us to verify whether experimenting with new learning environments and methodologies has enhanced the teaching-learning process, improved performance, and fostered inclusion.
