Objectives

ClimART3 aims at improving the skills set of High School teachers in Italy, Spain, Greece and Cyprus by training them on how to use innovative methodologies in classrooms to learn and teach climate change through art and animation. The training on climate change through art will allow teachers and students to pursue a more impactful and lasting learning experience, students and teachers will thus become active agents of awareness and change among their families and communities.

Activities

ClimART3 will design and implement training activities and informal education tools (art and animation) for teachers to effectively address the topic of climate change with their students, providing a creative, impactful, emotional learning experience. Teachers will learn how to conduct a laboratory on animation and students will design, produce and promote in front of an international audience their own anime about climate change.

Impact

The results of ClimART3 are going to be 2 Methodological Guidelines on Storyboarding and animation, 2 short term training activities for teachers, 2 laboratories for students on storyboarding and animation. 3 local events, 1 international conference and 1 final mobility for students to spread the word about ClimART3, promote their work, sensitise communities on the topic of climate change and exchange views on their contribution as future adults and professionals to a greener EU.
