Objectives

The project aims to enhance emergency medicine education using VR technology, focusing on polytrauma scenarios to provide immersive learning experiences for medical students. Through collaboration, it seeks to foster VR adoption in medical education, improving clinical skills and international competitiveness in healthcare curricula.

Activities

The main activities: 1. Project management and implementation; 2. Development of emergency medical situations content, which will serve as the foundation for VR tool; 3. Development and Testing of a VR Training Tool Demo Version; 4. Training course for university teachers to instruct them on the effective utilization of the VR tool; 5. VR training tool piloting and integration into curriculum; 6. Dissemination and sustainability.

Impact

The outcome of the project is a developed VR training tool with a focus on polytrauma scenarious, which is integrated into the curricula and provided medical students with immersive and interactive learning experiences. Consequently, participating education institutions have improved their emergency medicine education programs, enhanced their teaching methods and the quality of training. Students have improved their clinical skills and increased their preparedness to handle emergency situation.
