Objectives

The FarmForward project aims: • to raise awareness of challenges of agriculture stakeholders, in particular farmers who are facing the increasingly evident impacts of climate change. • to enhance the capabilities of agricultural trainers, empowering them to effectively educate about climate change and resilience agricultural strategies. • to motivate agriculture professionals and stakeholders to seek innovative solutions and adopt efficient farming practices for climate change mitigation.

Activities

It will develop: •Needs Analysis Report for a detailed understanding of farmers' needs for effective training & skill development in climate change mitigation. •Climate Resilient Agriculture Handbook, enriching educators’ knowledge in climate-resilient agriculture. •Educational Resources for Sustainable Farming, providing a wide array of knowledge and skills to farmers. •Expert Insights Series of videos & webinars with real-world examples of climate-resilient practices & innovative technologies.

Impact

The FarmForward project will empower the agricultural community, particularly agricultural educators and future/existing farmers, to actively engage in climate-resilient farming practices. It will offer new methodologies and insights to the agricultural sector, enhancing knowledge and skills in climate-resilient practices. Thus, it will contribute to the global dialogue on sustainable agriculture and climate resilience.
