▶Objectives
The Overall project goal is to improve the quality of primary education by producing an inclusive and innovative chess teaching model. By combining digital animations with multilingual teaching resources, the project aims to make chess accessible, engaging, and age-appropriate for students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds, while supporting their broader academic development. SO1:To enhance teachers’ competencies in implementing innovative learning by using digital resources and inclusive teaching methods, enabling them to deliver high-quality lessons and interactive classrooms. SO2:To provide students with accessible, engaging, and tailored learning method, fostering overall academic and personal development, not only in chess but also in mathematics, reading, and science, and thus preparing them for the growing expectations of the European education system. SO3:To increase awareness among parents and the wider community about the educational, cognitive, and social benefits of school chess. Through these objectives, the project aimed to create sustainable and scalable educational practices that benefit teachers, students, and the wider community while promoting digital, inclusive, and innovative learning.

The project’s activities were meticulously implemented according to the approved Project Activity & Timeline Plan, focusing on cross-border cooperation and improving primary education through an inclusive and innovative chess teaching model. WP1 – Project Management: Kick-off meeting [04.10.2024, online], partner leadership teams designation [03.10.2024, Skopje /21.11.2024, Sofia], Chess Expert engagement [15.11.2024]; WP2 – Partnership & Planning: 3-day visit to Sofia [19–21.11.2024], partnership agreement operational [19.11.2024], internal Monitoring & Evaluation strategy and comprehensive Communication & Visibility Plan creation; WP3 – Teaching Materials & Animated Videos: Animation company procurement [17.12.2024], production of 6 video animations, inclusive chess didactics (18 exercises, 6 concepts, 18 worksheets, and 18 tasks in 5 languages) production; WP4 – Trainings & Info Sessions: 221 teachers trained [23.01–26.05.2025, 10 sessions organization], 184 parents informed [6 info sessions organization]; WP5 – International Chess “KVALITET” Tournament: 3-day tournament [23–26.05.2025, YKC Skopje], 200+ participants from 8 countries, tournament Live-Streaming, FIDE rating points obtaining& international recognition;
