▶Objectives
The project addresses a key societal need, but which is currently not reachable for certain groups due to social barriers. Key among these groups are disabled people, as a subset of NEETS. This project aims to draw on both the strengths and the needs of the partners involved, to develop a project that will boost employment and employment retention numbers for people from this group. It is designed in a format that is modular, stakeholder-informed and sustainable, to address this gap.
▶Activities
The project though its 5 WPs over 30 months, has a number of activities with concrete deliverables pegged to each and a structure that will ensure sustainability, and continued use of results following completion of the project. WP1: Project management WP2: Employers’ Curriculum Creation WP3: eLearning content and project platform WP4: A Train the Trainer programme as well as a training activity WP5: Dissemination and Visibility 4 project meetings are envisaged: 2 in person and 2 virtual.
▶Impact
The main project result is to increase the number of autistic people, factoring in their co-occurring conditions, in meaningful employment, with a view to their retaining such eventual employment. The outcomes of the project are content creation targeted at potential employers, development of a train-the trainer module, and create an e-learning platform that would house both said content, and content directed at potential autistic employees. All content will be available in different languages.
