▶Objectives
TEIMO aims to achieve a validated inclusive state-of-the-art Blended Intensive Programme for use in teacher education (and beyond). Teacher education is the focus of this project due to their essential role for shaping schools and pupils of the future. Learning from (culturally) diverse interaction is necessary and teachers consequently need to be equipped with the relevant competencies. Mobility opportunities in teacher education are limited due to rather strict national regulations.
▶Activities
TEIMO will: • develop inclusive and international virtual and on-site components that foster collaborative working experiences during blended mobility in teacher education (e.g. Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs)); • compose logistic guidelines for the smooth organization and implementation of BIPs; • test and validate virtual and on-site components in a comprehensive BIP on Teacher Education; • make the results and findings available as user-friendly blueprints.
▶Impact
STUDENTS can actively participate in inclusive BIPs in teacher education in Europe. STAFF will increase their expertise in inclusive BIPs options in teacher education. HE INSTITUTIONS will be encouraged to embed inclusive BIPs in their teacher education programs and their institutional policy. NATIONAL AGENCIES will be fostered to use the results to formulate quality requirements for BIPs and other inclusive virtual and blended mobility options with a focus in teacher education.
