Objectives

Curricula are asking to teach more digital literacy. Teachers do not feel comfortable with this topic and are looking for activities and expertise. With this project we want to give educators more confidence in working with CT, a better comprehension of CT, ease a sustainable implementation and increase the digital skills of both students and educators. To create a deeper understanding of the importance of CT for society, we will organise societal dialogue sessions for teachers and educators.

Activities

We develop and handbook and implement an educator programme. We make tutorials and online training. We implement a support system for teachers. We develop activities. All available online in English, Spanish, Danish, Dutch, Papiamentu, Papiamento and Basque. We find it important to also reach small communities where minority languages are the main language. Papiamentu, Papiamento and Basque are minority languages spoken in Spain, Curacao and the neighbouring island Aruba.

Impact

We have trained more than 600 educators onsite and online, developed a teacher training guide. Online trainings and tutorials are available. The training and activities are integrated in the partner’s organisations. Teachers integrated the activities in their curriculum with the support system. We have composed an international advisory board. We organised dialogues sessions regarding the impact of CT in society and created a guide on organising and leading dialogues.
