▶Activities
Online Activities: Project kick-off with virtual meetings between Norwegian and Greek students, plus a final celebration festival featuring student presentations and attitude surveys. Research Phases: Two research periods focusing on climate change impacts and fashion industry environmental effects, including behavioral surveys and 30-day sustainability challenges. Mobilities: Exchange visits to Athens (featuring environmental excursions, theatrical play creation, visits to Acropolis and sea turtle protection society) and Norway (Arctic sustainability exploration at Senja Avfall, Finnfjord AS and Arctic University of Norway, Sami reindeer farming, winter activities, clothes-swapping and redesign workshop, and green fuel workshops). Practical Activities: Fæbrik upcycling event with professional trainer Jenny Skavlan, upcycling and redesign of clothing, beach cleaning combined with creating art installations. Creative Outputs: Development of promotional films, theatrical performances about fast fashion, and exhibitions using recycled materials. All activities emphasized environmental awareness, sustainable fashion practices, and cultural exchange between partner schools.
▶Impact
The project produced specific tangible productions, such as innovative upcycled garments demonstrating sustainable fashion principles and a theater play integrating sustainability and cultural awareness themes. Mobility components facilitated meaningful cultural exchanges, developing participants' intercultural communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and global and European understanding, as well as green-skill awareness, especially in the context of excursions, while fostering lasting international connections. Hands-on upcycling experience translated theoretical knowledge into practical understanding, empowering informed decisions about consumption, waste reduction, and environmental responsibility. Collaborative activities strengthened relationships among students across organizations and inside each partnership organization, fostering teamwork skills, mutual respect, and lasting friendships. These outcomes achieved both concrete deliverables and meaningful personal development. Participants emerged with enhanced skills, broader perspectives, and deeper commitments to sustainability and cross-cultural understanding, successfully integrating artistic expression, sustainability education, and international collaboration.
