▶Objectives
Project MultiCultiMed is an excellent response to the need for introducing modern, engaging, interactive multicultural education, shaping the competencies of students in medical and health sciences in Europe. The implementation of the project will contribute to the adaptation of education to reality and the improvement of healthcare by preparing students to provide culturally competent care to patients from diverse cultural backgrounds as well as to collaborate in multicultural therapeutic team.
▶Activities
We will develop and publish a modern handbook that, alongside cultural knowledge, will address cultural awareness, sensitivity, and competences in transcultural health; create an education platform that interactively influences the development of these traits; enhance the teaching opportunities by supporting teachers with additional materials on platform; conduct interviews as part of the "Human Library"; carry out research work and disseminate knowledge about the project's effects.
▶Impact
Main results: a handbook (paper, e-book and audiobook in 6 language versions) for multicultural education, integrated with an educational platform, containing sets of interactive tools for practicing multicultural competencies, and a section supporting teachers, enriched with a catalog "Human Library" - interviews with individuals from stigmatized or discriminated groups, increasing personal engagement of audiences in the fight against social injustice.
