Objectives

To develop a comprehensive professional profile outlining the necessary competencies for individuals supporting those with autism through the ageing process. This initiative aims to enhance active ageing and improve the overall quality of life for individuals with autism. Simultaneously, a methodological training proposal will be crafted to equip professionals with the skills needed to deliver high-quality services tailored to the unique needs of individuals with autism during the ageing stages.

Activities

A1. Kick-off meeting in Lisbon, Portugal A2. Research and report development on best practices in intervening during the ageing stage of individuals with autism. A3. Research and definition of the competencies for the professional profile supporting the active ageing of individuals with autism. A4. Design, testing, and validation of training contents. A5. Transnational meeting in Hämeenlinna (TPM2) and Burgos (TPM2) and organisation of MEs. A6. Communication and dissemination of results.

Impact

The definition of a professional profile for individuals who support people with Autism during their ageing stage and the development of a methodological and training proposal that will be validated through a pilot training experience. This training will equip professionals who are currently involved or planning to intervene in the ageing processes of individuals with autism.
