Objectives

1.Improving the knowledge of our coaches regarding specific nutrition in performance sports; 2.Developing the coaches’ digital skills to use them in the process of monitoring, evaluation and nutritional counseling of performance athletes; 3.Increasing the quality of the training by introducing new practices and approaches regarding specific nutrition in performance sports; 4.Strengthening our capacity to cooperate at cross-sectoral and transnational level in the field of sport nutrition.

Activities

Local and transnational trainings on new methods for coaches will be organized. Workshops and conferences on sport nutrition will be held. We will develop new educational tools for coaches needed to adapt training methods to both the requirements of the sport and the individual nutritional needs of the performance athletes. The project address the nutritional specifics of performance athletes with disabilities, a generally overlooked area due to the limited number of athletes in this category.

Impact

The project will have as results: The U-NutriCoach digital Application, The Practical Guide on Specific Nutrition in Performance Sports for Coaches, and coaches from our clubs who will have new knowledge and skills to personalize the nutrition of athletes who come from different backgrounds, are girls and boys, may have various disabilities or food intolerances etc. Practical information and advice to access and prepare healthy foods at an affordable cost will be provided to athletes parents.
