▶Objectives
With this project, we wanted to influence the reduction of the level of discrimination against children and young people by better informing them about their rights and available protection mechanisms. Previous experience has shown that peer education gives good results when it comes to educating children and young people about recognizing and responding to various forms of discrimination. We also took into account that the human capacities of the Commissioner are not sufficient to have a wide coverage across primary and secondary schools in the Republic of Serbia, so the formation of a network of peer educators was one of the solutions. In addition, we wanted to systematize our previous experiences, practices and needs analysis into an education program on protection from discrimination, suitable for wider application in the education system and which will enable sustainability and long-term planning.
