Objectives

We strive to provide practical assistance to tackle a key issue encountered by adults with IT skills, which is the transitioning from education to the job market. Our objective is to facilitate this transition by offering quality internships via developing best strategies, methods and implications for practice, which directly benefit both the interns as job seekers to secure jobs and SMEs as internship providers/employers to attract and recruit the best talents in the workforce.

Activities

-Research and outline the best internship strategies and practices available in the literature and IT job industry, -Create methodological framework of quality internships, -Train the targets about quality internships via internship provider companies as a work-based training, interaction with internship experts and specialists, -Disseminate the results in various formats to create awareness on the importance of internships as a road for better employment opportunities for adults in IT field.

Impact

-Enabling the targets to have a professionaly designed quality internships with all of its components, -Reaching a proper understanding of quality internships by SMEs, learning its various components, how to organize, execute, monitor and evaluate the internships in professional formats, -Support better cooperation between SMEs and adult organizations, -Increasing awareness and resilience of the targets about the potential benefits of quality internship in securing jobs at IT SMEs.
