Objectives

Adopting the concept of culture as 4th pillar of sustainability, and the socio-ecological landscape approach, PlaCES develops an innovative teaching-learning method to integrate the analysis, assessment and enhancement of Cultural Ecosystem Services(CES) within design, planning, and conservation disciplines. It combines topics to build students’ capacities to define strategies dealing with cultural and natural values by sharing and co-creating knowledge with stakeholders in a real-world setting.
