RYR aims to transform HEIs spaces into places that generate social value and foster knowledge valorisation through artist-researcher-citizen interactions. It enhances a strategic approach to Third Mission by providing structured yet adaptable methodologies. It focuses on transdisciplinary collaborations to build shared understandings and trust while developing skills. RYR seeks to enrich the art-science nexus, making science more accessible and fostering inclusive societies.
▶Activities
RYR will implement Rock It Cafes for transdisciplinary dialogue, Rock It Map to visualize existing resources and collaborations, and Rock It Labs for the co-creation of small-scale projects among researchers and artists. Supporting activities include experiential learning documentation, internal mapping of resources, recruitment strategies, development of a dissemination plan, engagement forums, and creation of promotional materials. RYR activities point out Third Mission advancement in HEIs.
▶Impact
Rock It Cafes bring artists, researchers and citizens into an explorative yet guided dialogue on scientific topics. The resulting trust will nurture the artist-researcher peer collaboration in the Rock It Labs. As a result, artworks are exhibited to convey scientific messages to broader audiences. With the Rock it Map, we visualize resources and initiatives in knowledge valorisation. Altogether, RYR contributes to a strategic approach to Third Mission that maximizes engagement impact.
