Objectives

The project demonstrates shading window effectiveness in cutting cooling energy use with low-tech solutions. Six solar villages, each containing 12 cubes with temp sensors: 3 facing South, 3 East, 3 West, and 3 North (without/with internal/with external shading), will be set up across Europe. We'll measure window orientation impact on shaded/unshaded windows across locations. We aim to raise public awareness on shading impact with quantification in °C and integrate measurements into education.
