▶Objectives
The REACH project (Research-based Education for Advancing Children in Hardship) should increase teachers' competencies in inquiry-based education and increase the participation of children from disadvantaged backgrounds in inquiry-based learning through research education approaches. Our goal is to find out the needs of educators and prepare a "package" of methodological materials and tools that will enable teachers to involve children from excluded communities in research projects.
▶Activities
We will organize training for teachers in the field of inquiry-based education to ensure methodological and mentoring support for teachers, strengthen the technical equipment of the participating schools with special aids and devices, and create a methodology and a set of research activities adapted to the needs of teachers who work with children from disadvantaged backgrounds and to invite the student research teams themselves to present research projects at an international conference.
