Objectives

The project will deal with current youth culture issues in different ways. The focus is on fitness, sport, body-cult and gaming, all of this particularly in the context of online communication and self-presentation by young people on the Internet. Existing Good practice will be reflected on and new approaches for youth work will be developed and tested. 60-80 youth workers and over 100 young people are expected to benefit from this project.

Activities

The project will go through two phases.First the focus is on youthworkers and will deal with the topics described above in different ways. One week exchange programs for 18 youthworker (job shadowing) will be reinforced by a joint reflection seminar. Additionally, two seminars on the topic with expert input and discussion follow. In the second year, the topic areas will be addressed in three multilateral youth exchanges with young people, with each country hosting an exchange on one subtopic

Impact

These activities will strengthen know-how and sharpen awareness of youth workers. This will lead to increasing competence and skills and leads to innovations among the project partners. In youth encounters, the youth cultural approach can be used to work on the topics of diversity and inclusion, as well as the role of digital change, which in summary strengthens the young people's ability to reflect, their democratic awareness, and thus promotes active citizenship.
