Objectives

The project aims to enhance educators' understanding of climate change through AI, empowering them to teach students about environmental issues, fostering sustainability awareness, and encouraging local and European collaborations. We aim to empower educators and communities with GenAI tools, to understand and address climate change, develop digital skills, and create adaptable solutions for local and global environmental challenges, thereby enhancing climate literacy and action worldwide.

Activities

We will develop AI-driven training materials, conduct in-person and online training activities for educators, and disseminate results through a project website, information days and newsletters, ensuring broad engagement and sustainability across educational sectors. To achieve the objectives of the project, we plan to implement the following key activities: 1.GenAI training workshops 2.Development of educational materials 3.Community data collection initiatives 4.Pilot Practical Application

Impact

The project will produce AI-based educational resources, improve educators’ GenAI skills in teaching climate change, foster collaboration on environmental education and raise public awareness, benefiting educators, students and local communities. We expect the project to enhance climate literacy and digital skills across communities, improve local and global climate adaptation strategies, foster innovative GenAI applications in climate science, and establish sustainable educational partnerships.
