EU-Music aims to promote cross-border musical cooperation, the development of key competences and cultural exchange between Aachen and Ostbelgien. It strengthens music education through chamber music, improvisation and orchestral work and promotes European networking, inclusion, participation, digitalisation, sustainability and innovative learning and teaching practices. The aim is to establish long-term collaborations.

We run workshops on chamber music, improvisation and baroque performance practice, including concerts, also in social institutions and neighbourhoods or the EU Parliament. There are rehearsals and seminars for the Aachen Youth Symphony Orchestra and new participants from Ostbelgien. Public relations work with video recordings and its own website ensures that the programme is well known. In addition, there are supporting courses such as efficient practising, bodywork and performance training.

The expected results are the improvement of musical skills, especially in ensemble and orchestral playing, as well as the expansion of the participants' networks. The integration of musicians from Ostbelgien into the Youth Symphony Orchestra strengthens European cooperation. The results will be documented and disseminated through recordings, reports and an image video to ensure the continuation of the project and long-term networking.
