โถObjectives
Youth in Route tackles youth disaffiliation grounded in Robert Castel's sociological theory, equipping youth workers with cutting-edge tools and knowledge. It implements practical measures to address root causes of youth disengagement, whilst championing a positive vision of young people as engaged citizens. By advocating for a transversal, qualitative approach, it aims to influence policy and foster robust cross-sectoral partnerships, ultimately reimagining support for disaffiliated youth.
โถActivities
The partnership will use a participatory approach to implement an EU capacity-building for youth workers from Belgium, Portugal, France and Serbia; youth-led storytelling circles, empowering disaffiliated youth to share experiences; awareness campaigns challenging stereotypes against disaffiliated youth; cross-sector policy dialogues bridging gaps between youth, practitioners, and decision-makers; and a virtual network fostering collaboration.
โถImpact
The project will deliver a 3-level training programme for youth workers, covering theoretical understanding, practical challenges, and actionable methodologies for both preventive and interventive measures addressing youth disaffiliation; a youth-led digital incubator platform and integrated toolkit, offering resources on personal growth, career opportunities, and community engagement; and youth-led policy journey maps, illustrating routes from challenges to solutions in youth disaffiliation.
