Objectives

Project REAP4ALL aims to (a) reduce the chances of basic illiteracy among early childhood learners who come from diverse ethnic, language, and socio-economic backgrounds; (b) strengthen early childhood teacher skills in delivering effective robot-assisted early reading instruction to diverse learners; and (c) create inclusive, positive learning communities where all students actively participate and are supported during instruction

Activities

The project team will:(a) design a robot-assisted early reading curriculum targeting phonological awareness and letter knowledge and utilizing programmable robots (e.g., Bee-bots); (b) conduct a train-the- trainer coaching model to support early childhood teachers in curriculum implementation; (c) evaluate the impact on students reading skills before and after implementation, and stakeholders’ social satisfaction (families, teachers, students).
