▶Objectives
"In Good Hands" aims to create a European partnership dedicated to improving palliative care practices, focusing on non-medicinal interventions. It aims to facilitate and further promote knowledge exchange among care professionals in Czechia and France through workshops, training, and facility visits to enhance the skills of professional, as well as informal carers, allowing them to improve physical, psychological, social, and spiritual support for individuals in need of palliative care.
▶Activities
The project implementation is structured into four key phases: preparatory activities, exploration and learning, knowledge consolidation, and dissemination of results through training and final events. It includes activities such as group mobilities for exchanging best practice in palliative care, consolidating knowledge in transnational teams, and creating a comprehensive training module to serve as a resource for professional and informal carers to further develop their palliative care skills.
▶Impact
The results include improved palliative care practices in both Czech and French care settings, the development of a comprehensive training module for carers, and the creation of a self-directed online course in CZ, FR, and EN. These concrete outcomes lead to more compassionate and effective care, empowering families and carers, breaking down taboos surrounding end-of-life care, increasing individuals' capacity to act, and fostering a broader cultural acceptance of palliative care across Europe.
