▶Objectives
We want to transfer transformative learning in real-world laboratories from academic didactics to the interface of school & extracurricular education. Secondary school students will be introduced to internal & external sustainability as practiced values in experiential and participatory class excursions to nature parks. And we hope to explore the added value of a transnational approach based on a collaborative multi-stakeholder process to the teaching-relevant internal & external sustainability.
▶Activities
In a multi-stakeholder process we implement (1.) a first workshop to familiarize teachers & trainers with the approach and to test the internal and external sustainability methods, and (2.) a concluding WS to exchange experiences and learned lessons for the approache’s enhancement and joint future plans in a follow-up Erasmus+ project. Two pilot class excursions are conceptualized and organized with the local parks and teachers with support and guidance of experts from the BfB & Espai de Marge.
▶Impact
The proposal conceives two different project results co-created by inclusion of all partners and local participants of the project: 1.) a transformative learning guide on internal and external sustainability to be applied in different extracurricular sites by teachers and natural park education teams. The guide is complemented by narratives for practical support. And 2.) a development and action plan for the project network including an outline of a potential more comprehensive Erasmus+ project.
